The Monaghan House

Integrating the new with the old, this 1950’s weatherboard house in Karori needed some extra space; the second story extension has given the clients a new living/bedroom with en-suite.  The separate entrance creates a private space for their lucky teenage son. Unusable garden area is developed into well used space by the expansion of the property, entertaining becomes a pleasure with the sliding doors out to the new large deck from the kitchen area, planter boxes double as fixed seating and new fencing gives the home owner and guests the additional privacy needed.
